Ft Lauderdale Fishing, January Sailfish Bite

January 26th, 2010
This morning a group from Finland joined the Lady Pamela II while visiting Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Conditions were perfect for a Sailfish to eat so we loaded up on live goggle eyes and hit the road. Blue water, a north swell and a rippin’ north current had Sailfish written all over it. Live bait kite fishing is key when looking for Sailfish and when they eat, it is incredible. Live goggle eyes were soon after suspended from the kites and we waited, but not for long. After our 3rd catch and release, our anglers were worn out and decided to call it a day.
We were so successful in the morning we were looking forward to our afternoon trip at 1. Bryan and his friends joined the Lady Pamela II for round two. The Sailfish bite never slowed down, it was non stop action all day. We headed back to the dock with another 3 flags flying from the rigger.
