Sail fishing off the coast of Florida

January 25, 2017
Nice mild weather here in the Fort Lauderdale /Hollywood area has produced some consistent fishing aboard the Lady Pamela II sportfishing boats. On the days with little bit of breeze we have had the kites up, catching a few sailfish and three big (40 lb +) wahoos. The kingfish and bonitos are hitting bait tipped seawitch feathers trolled on the reef. We are trolling these rigs in midwater on about sixty foot leaders behind trolling weights. On one of our charters yesterday we made some deep drops on the shipwrecks and landed big amberjacks and barracudas. Anglers on our nighttime driftfishing trips are bringing good catches of both lane, yellowtail, and vermilion snappers. The crowds are not quite so big post-holiday so now is a good time to get out fishing.

Kids fishing with there dads making memories every day.
Any time you can come off the coast of fort lauderdale and catch three big wahoos is one hell of a day.
I remember when my dad always took me fishing and this kid will remember this for the rest of his life.
The night trips are very productive for the night anchor trips.
