Hopes of Landing a Hammerhead – Fort Lauderdale Fishing Charters

March 1st, 2010
Andrew, Chad and their buddy came deep sea fishing aboard the Lady Pamela II this afternoon. Andrew had no interest in catching fish and Chad had big hopes of hooking up with a Game Shark. We trolled to the south and found a beautiful bluish-green edge in 150 ft of water with schools of Mahi. With at least 30 Mahi per herd, only one fish ate and it was too short to keep. It was like pulling teeth to get some action so we moved on into deeper water with four big baits waiting for the bite. Fishing was so slow. We waited two hours and as soon as we decided it was time to hit the road, the balloon went under. I gunned the boat ahead as Mike cleared the other rods. Mike thought the fish fell off so I backed the boat up and he dropped another bait down where we originally got the bite; it worked. Chad put his game face on and his dream came true. Nice fish!
