Summer Time FIshing

June 10, 2016

Lady Pamela II sportfishing went out on two trips today, and fishing was quite good. There were plenty of king mackerel, bonitos, and blackfin tunas up on the reef, anywhere from 75 to 150 feet of water. All these fish were caught using seawitch feathers towed behind planers. Offshore there have been a few mahi-mahi […]

Daytime Swordfish Trip

May 4, 2016

Unbelievably, here I am talking about swordfish for the second time in a week! We had a daytime swordfish trip today with everything ready to go and light winds, maybe 5 miles per hour out of the southeast. We were headed to about 1,200 feet of water to test out our new Hooker electric reel […]

Daytime Swordfishing

April 27, 2016

April 16-18, 2016   It has been a while since I talked about swordfishing off Ft. Lauderdale but this weekend Lady Pamela II got into some swords worth talking about. We were daytime swordfishing in about 1200 feet of water on Friday and caught two out of three fish hooked up. The biggest of the […]

Sharks , Tuna , Kingfish , Mahi Mahi

March 25, 2016

March 21, 2016   The Fort Lauderdale sportfishing was slow the past several days without one bite on two all day trips in a row. We got through the doldrums though by working the offshore wrecks. Lady Pamela II caught some big amberjacks, a king mackerel, and a couple of cobia. It was a great […]

Red Hot Fishing Off Fort Lauderdale

March 14, 2016

March 8, 2016   This past Sunday Lady Pamela sportfishing had a four-hour morning where we trolled, kitefished and did a little bit a bottom fishing. The troll and kitefishing were not productive but we caught some vermilion snappers and triggerfish off the bottom. We headed back out in the afternoon with six people on […]

Spring Fishing Off South Florida Coast

March 4, 2016

March 3, 2016   Game sharks seem to be the catch of the week, with fishing in general being quite good. On a night charter aboard the Lady Pamela II last night, our anglers hooked up a big 10 foot thresher shark. This is the first thresher we ever caught at night and it was […]

Full Moon Fishing Off Fort Lauderdale

February 28, 2016

February 25, 2016   We have had a full moon this week and it has brought primo wahoo action. Lady Pamela II has boated fish from 35 to 60 lbs. caught on the troll between 60 and 120 feet of water over the past several days. These fish are cruising everywhere: off the reef edge, […]

Fishing Forecast February

February 16, 2016

February 2016 Fishing Forecast   Sailfish, sharks, wahoo, and kingfish are on the fishing menu for February. Kitefishing with live goggle eyes off Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood is the go to method of fishing for sailfish this time of year. Multiple hookups seem to be the norm, with other predators like kingfish and mahi-mahi competing […]

Tuna Fishing Fort Lauderdale

January 21, 2016

January 16, 2016   Over the last couple of days, we had a cold front come through and fishing has been quite good. Both sailfish and wahoo have been around in about 240 feet of water, along with a few blackfin tuna. Once the seas laid down, we also got offshore and into some excellent […]

TESTIMONIALS

What An Adventure!

I never leave reviews, but we had such a good time, I wanted to share with others. Captain David and his guys are top notch, you can tell as soon as you pull up that you have booked a great trip. We went out with them in April 2015 and we were told this was one of the best months for fishing off South Florida. The captain decided to fly kites (amazing!) to dangle baits so that the fish can’t see the hooks. I have never seen this, but it was amazing to see them do it. Within a few minutes we had a first sailfish on and then another hit. A double header! We landed both fish and the day went on just like that. We were watching the baits dangle on the surface all day.  Other boats in the area were “trolling” and weren’t catching any. David said it was because the water was so clear that it was important to kite fish.  I highly recommend booking them.
