Fort Lauderdale Nighttime Swordfishing Charters

October 18, 2010

October 13th, 2010

Conditions were just right for a nighttime Swordfish trip tonight. Joe, Adam, Paul and I headed offshore and reached our destination around 7:30 PM. Our bait consisted of dead Squid and Bonito fish. Within the first hour of soaking our baits, we caught a small Swordfish, 42 inch’er. After a few pictures, we released the baby back into the blue for a future fight. Bait went back out and the greatest shark fishing began. By midnight, we had caught 13 sharks; Hammerhead Sharks, Cuban Night Sharks and Thresher Sharks would not leave us alone. After we got to shark #13, we packed up and ran back to Fort Lauderdale.

Awesome Tarpon Trip!

We booked Captain David to take us fishing inshore since my wife gets really seasick. He mentioned that the tide was really good on a particular date so we took it. My son caught his first tarpon about 50lbs along with a barracuda and we released a snook. The inshore waters of Fort Lauderdale are very scenic and Captain David showed us some amazing celebrities homes including Wayne Huizenga where we caught a tarpon right behind his house.  Very cool stuff.  David took measurements of the tarpon and my son now how it hanging in his room. The silver king!
