Daytime Swordfishing

April 27, 2016

April 16-18, 2016   It has been a while since I talked about swordfishing off Ft. Lauderdale but this weekend Lady Pamela II got into some swords worth talking about. We were daytime swordfishing in about 1200 feet of water on Friday and caught two out of three fish hooked up. The biggest of the […]

Huge Yellowfin Tuna Off Fort Lauderdale

April 25, 2016

Today started out as just another average fishing day for Lady Pamela II sportfishing, as we set out the kites for some sailfishing. We were in 240 feet of water off Ft. Lauderdale and had a couple of frisky googleyes bouncing around on the surface, on light action 30lb outfits. Our anglers were ill-prepared for […]

Giant Tuna Caught In Fort Lauderdale

Every spring we get a run of tuna, usually big blackfins, but there are quite a bit of yellowfin tuna that come through that go unnoticed.  Most of the time, fisherman are not prepared for such a big fish and end up breaking them off after long and hard battles thus becoming fish stories. TESTIMONIALS

What An Adventure!

I never leave reviews, but we had such a good time, I wanted to share with others. Captain David and his guys are top notch, you can tell as soon as you pull up that you have booked a great trip. We went out with them in April 2015 and we were told this was one of the best months for fishing off South Florida. The captain decided to fly kites (amazing!) to dangle baits so that the fish can’t see the hooks. I have never seen this, but it was amazing to see them do it. Within a few minutes we had a first sailfish on and then another hit. A double header! We landed both fish and the day went on just like that. We were watching the baits dangle on the surface all day.  Other boats in the area were “trolling” and weren’t catching any. David said it was because the water was so clear that it was important to kite fish.  I highly recommend booking them.
