December 28th, 2009

The Lady Pamela Fishing Fleet headed offshore with Mike Clark, his daughter and his son for an after Christmas fishing adventure in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They were spending the Holiday’s in South Florida and took advantage of what Fort Lauderdale is known for, deep sea fishing. Trolling was productive. We landed six Bonito fish within minutes of trolling gear in the water. After our Bonito pop, we headed to a wreck and dropped live bait on the bottom. It was an instant bite with a 40 lb Amberjack and a 50 lb’er to top of the trip. Mike and his kids were impressed on how hard these fish fight!

40lb & 50lb Wahoo - Ft Lauderdale Fishing

Friday, January 1st, 2010

There isn’t a better place to spend the Holidays than in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where the weather is beautiful and the fish are biting offshore! Bill and his family traveled from Delaware to South Florida and chose the Lady Pamela Fleet for their after Christmas family activity. We set sail with a dozen live goggle eyes and once we cleared the port, trolling gear was in the water. Trolling was slow so we headed out to deeper water where the north current was rippin’ and the edge was just right. Our first bite of the day was a Sailfish that put on quite the show for our anglers, it was very exciting. Our next two bites were a 40 lb Wahoo and a 50 lb Wahoo, talk about nice fish. It was non stop action and didn’t end with our beefy Wahoo. Bill was reeling in fish after fish with some nice size King Mackerel. Fishing was great, Happy Holidays Bill and family!
